The ^stericlin® type 5 indicator strips check your sterilization processes for sufficient steam exposure (steam, temperature and time) inside packaging or at other selected locations. The specifications for this are based on the behavior of biological indicators. Different sterile barrier systems within a batch can be checked independently of each other. The type 5 indicator is particularly advantageous if you sterilize your medical devices to be reprocessed at both 121 °C and 134 °C.

The indicator strips are easy to use:

• Place at the desired locations in the load 
• Carry out a sterilization program
• Remove the indicator strips
• Check result

If there is sufficient steam, the indicator changes colour from blue to pink; if the colour change is incomplete, the sterilizer is malfunctioning.

The ^stericlin® indicator strips meet the requirements of DIN EN ISO 11140-1 for the type 5 (integrators) designated therein. We ensure compliance with the performance requirements using a high-precision resistometer for testing purposes.
^Stericlin® indicators do not contain any heavy metals or toxic substances. Once the color change has taken place, the color of the indicator no longer changes. This gives you absolute documentation reliability.
